When I started redesigning my life and creating a world filled with happy moments and optimistic, positive thoughts, I realized how much of the world I had been missing out on. Growing up in Wisconsin, my entire family is still there, and it is where my soul resides. One of the people I have always looked up to, my older brother, lives in Eau Claire, WI with his family, and my twin nieces and nephew. When I was using drugs I was extremely selfish and vacant in the lives of everyone I care about. I missed my brothers Weddings, the birth of my nieces and nephew, and my younger brother being extremely sick and in the hospital. I can never fully get over not being there for those moments, but I can build beautiful moments in the future.
Even though my soul is in Wisconsin, my heart is fully in Arizona where my two sons reside. With my heart and soul at two ends of the country, my ultimate goal is to travel to both places, and everywhere in between. I now travel back and forth as often as I can, and enjoy the journey in between. This is my first journey back to Arizona from Wisconsin with my mom. We stopped at the Corn Museum in South Dakota, Mount Rushmore, Wall Street Drug, and the most breathtaking Cedar Breaks, UT. We ended our journey visiting my favorite person in the world in Salt Lake City, Nancy.
